New Route Map with miles per stage and target arrival dates
Only 5 days till departure. I'm already starting to wonder... what I'm forgetting? Have I been riding enough? How bad is the wind going to be in Havre?

July 18, 2014

Well, by now you will know that I crossed the finish line in Banff around 4:30 on Tuesday afternoon.

A special thanks to Cindy who was there to cheer me across the line! (And to cheer me along the whole way!)

Here are some final stats that are fun to reflect back on:

Antelope Wells, NM to Banff, AB

2,807 Miles - 30 Days

31 Continental Divide Crossings

176,277 Vertical Feet

359 Hours of Riding

0 Flat Tires!

Here are some pictures from the last two days. I'm working on a final post summarizing the whole journey, so check back in a day or two!

July 12
Wow what a whirlwind couple of days! Rode into WF yesterday to a great reception of blue dot followers at the Saddle Club. Some quick tweaks on the bike, a new sleeping pad from Sportsman and I was headed out again this morning.
Upper Whitefish to Red Meadow to the Northfork to Trail Creek to Grave Creek and ultimately Eureka. Poised for the border crossing tomorrow morning and the final 3 day ride (hopefully) to Banff. Cell reception is sketchy so this may be the last post before I finish. Upper WF Lake about _8:30 this morning, and a roadblock on the Trail Creek road this afternoon.

July 10
Helena to Ovando via Lincoln yesterday. 103 miles and 7850' of climbing - I think the biggest of the trip! 3 CD crossings on 1 day.
In Seeley Lake for breakfast now - on to Swan Lake or maybe Bigfork tonight.

Butte to Helena today - only 85 miles but some pretty rugged trails and 6700' of climbing. New route this year from Butte to Basin going out the west side of Butte and up'n over a new continental divide crossing.
Helens to Ovando tomorrow if I can make it.
2050 miles done and 661 to go.
4 Divide crossings left.
